Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

Booking

These terms apply to both 1 to 1 and group tutoring sessions.

Each session is part of a block/course (usually 6 weeks/sessions but can be any length set out by Primary Academy). When booking a course payment is required for the whole course prior to a place being reserved on the course.

Payment

Payments can be made either by card over the phone or via bank transfer if card payment is not possible. When booking another course and attending an existing course you may pay by card our payment processor. A place on a course cannot be reserved until full course payment has been received.

Cancellation

Cancellation can be made up to 3 weeks prior to a course and a full refund given. After this period full payment will be retained as it will be very difficult for a place to be filled upon cancellation.

Although very unlikely, we reserve the right to cancel any session or course for any reason.

In the event of power outages or loss in internet services sessions will be recorded and a video provided once power or internet services are restored.

Attendance

If a session is missed no refund or part refund can be given as it is very difficult to fill an empty place last minute.

We aim to only run a session if at least 2 children are attending. In the very unlikely scenario that less than 2 children attend we may need to cancel and another time/day will be arranged. Please understand that this will always be last minute in nature however exceptionally unlikely to occur.

If due to extreme circumstances the group leader/tutor can not attend a session then all efforts will be made to contact you and rearrange that session.

Please ensure you arrive 5 minutes before the start of each session so that the session starts on time. Sessions will start at the time specified so please be punctual to avoid losing session time.

A parent or guardian must be present during each online session.

Behaviour

It's important that a child's behaviour does not disrupt a session. A certain level of respect and behaviour is expected at all sessions and disruptive behaviour could result in your child's place on a course being cancelled.

Guarantees

Absolutely no guarantees are offered from our sessions. Due to the nature of individual's abilities and outside circumstances it would be irresponsible to offer such guarantees. However every effort is made to make sessions further your child's understanding and confidence. You will see from the testimonials that many children have already benefitted from tutoring sessions and it is our intention that this continues.

Courses covering multiple areas of learning are not intended for in-depth study. Therefore for some pupils the courses will aid in pre-teaching whereas for others the outcome may strengthen their understanding and serve more as revision.
